Community, Education and Engagement

We work to increase knowledge and awareness about gambling and gambling harm within Canberra.

Informative presentations

In our presentations, we show the facts about gambling harm and what support is available in the ACT.

The informative presentations are suitable and recommended for high school, college, tertiary education students, community service organisations, staff and P&C meetings.

Community events

Our community engagement officer and peer support worker will attend your event to bring information about gambling harm and the various services available, along with fun merchandise materials.

Workshops

In our workshops, we provide information about the history of gambling, the difference between odds and house odds, the statistical likelihood of winning and its meaning. We also talk about what gambling harm is, how to recognise it in others and ourselves and where to find support.

Our interactive program is suitable and recommended for years 7 – 10.

Support for gambling industry

We work with the gambling industry by providing information and resources about gambling harm, to help support their staff and patrons. This includes providing promotional material and attending staff meetings.

We are here for you. Let us know how we can best respond to your needs and we can create something together.

Organise a callback

Talking to someone who has a lot of experience in how to manage gambling harm can help you feel clearer about the options available.

We provide free and confidential support in a number of ways.

We listen without judgement and/or unrealistic expectations.
