About AGSS

The ACT Gambling Support Service (AGSS) is a free and confidential support service for people experiencing harm, as a result of theirs, or someone else’s gambling. Through our qualified and experienced team, we can assist you to identify changes you want to make and support you to make them.

We aim to increase community awareness and reduce the stigma associated with gambling harm. We believe that breaking down the embarrassment and shame often felt, those impacted by gambling harm will seek help early and get back to enjoying life!

Our partners

The AGSS is supported by the ACT Gambling and Racing Commission and funded through the Gambling Harm Prevention and Mitigation Fund. The AGSS is a key part of the Commission’s response to gambling harm, in line with the Strategy for Gambling Harm Prevention in the ACT – A Public Health Approach 2019-2024.
Relationships Australia Canberra & Region is the lead agency responsible for the management of our service. Gambling harm can have a great impact on relationships. Our service is imbedded within Relationships Australia Canberra & Region, allowing us to seamlessly support you and your loved ones through relationship stressors.
Our free and confidential services are delivered in partnership with Care, a community organisation assisting Canberrans who are experiencing financial difficulty. Care provides our financial counselling services to help those experiencing or witnessing gambling harm with their financial affairs.
